WHY UPGRADE

Why Every EV Owner Needs
a Level 2 Charger at Home

Your car came with a 120V cord. It works — the same way a garden hose works to fill a swimming pool. A dedicated 240V Level 2 charger changes everything about owning an EV.

Full charge overnight — every night

Most EVs fully charge in 4–8 hours on Level 2. Wake up every morning with a full battery. No planning, no range anxiety, no "did I leave enough charge?"

🏠

Adds real value to your home

A dedicated EV charger is now a listed feature in real estate. Buyers with EVs actively look for it — and will pay more for a home that already has one installed and permitted.

💰

Lower cost per mile

Level 2 chargers are more efficient than trickle charging, and charging at home is significantly cheaper than public charging stations — especially with off-peak utility rates.

🔌

Any vehicle. Any charger brand.

Tesla, Ford, GM, Rivian, Hyundai, BMW, Volkswagen, Lucid, Polestar — we install any Level 2 EVSE. We also install NEMA 14-50 outlets if you prefer plug-in flexibility.

📋

Fully permitted & code compliant

We pull the permit, pass the inspection, and hand you the signed documents. That's how it protects your home, your insurance, and your resale value. No shortcuts.

📈

Future-ready for more EVs

Adding a second car? Planning ahead? We can size the circuit and panel space for dual-vehicle charging from day one, so you're never running a second job later.

OUR PROCESS

What Installation
Actually Looks Like

No surprises, no hidden steps, no "we'll figure it out when we get there." Here's exactly what happens from first call to first charge.

Hardwired vs. NEMA 14-50 outlet?
Both are good options. A hardwired unit is cleaner and more permanent. A NEMA 14-50 outlet gives you flexibility to swap chargers later. We'll walk you through both — no pressure either way.
1

Free site assessment

We check your panel capacity, evaluate the best run path from panel to parking spot, and confirm whether a panel upgrade is needed. We tell you everything up front — no surprises on install day.

2

Written quote & permit

You get a clear, itemized quote before we schedule anything. Once approved, we pull the electrical permit from the local AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction). That permit is what makes the job official and legal.

3

Installation day

Most residential EV charger jobs are done in a single day. We run the circuit, mount the charger or outlet, make clean connections at the panel, and test everything before we leave.

4

Inspection & sign-off

We schedule and attend the inspection with the city or county inspector. First-pass approvals on every job — no rework, no callbacks. You get the signed permit as your permanent record.

5

Plug in & charge

You're done. Plug in your car tonight. Charge overnight. Wake up with a full battery. It really is that simple once the right infrastructure is in place.

PANEL CAPACITY

What If My Panel
Doesn't Have Room?

Older homes — especially those built before 2000 — often have 100-amp panels that are already near capacity. A 50-amp EV charger circuit is a significant load addition.

The good news: we handle panel upgrades too. You don't need to call a second contractor. One call, one job, one inspection, one permit. A panel upgrade during an EV charger install is often the smartest time to do it — you're already there.

Signs You Might Need a Panel Upgrade

  • Panel is 100 amps or less (common in homes built before 1990)
  • Breakers are already doubled up or there's no open slots
  • You have a hot tub, generator, or large HVAC already running
  • You're planning to add a second EV in the future
  • You have a Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel (safety concern — replace regardless)
  • Lights dim when large appliances kick on
We'll tell you honestly during the free site visit whether you need an upgrade — and give you a clear quote if you do. No upsells, no pressure.
